Join us at a different local studio each month for The Lunch Box. Break away from your desk to visit an amazing studio and listen to local design leaders present original perspectives that will inspire, shift or interrupt your relationship with the design space. After the presentation there will be a chance to ask questions and pick the brains of some of Seattle's brightest design minds.

This month's lunch will be hosted by Starbucks Global Creative. They'll discuss:

Continuous Curiousity
Continuous learning is part of every designer’s job. We’re lucky that way. Feed your curiosity with a presentation that demonstrates how designers can continually improve their skills by staying inspired and pushing their personal design boundaries. Jeff will share examples of thinking from big studios, small studios and Starbucks Creative Studio in a discussion that promises to be lively.

Presenter
Jeff Barlow – Creative Manager, In-store Experience at Starbucks Global Creative
Jeff's passion for concept-driven, brand-based design is reflected in all of the work he creates. His poster work and ideas have been featured in the HOW International Design Annual, the HOW Self-Promotion Annual, and Communication Arts. His design experience includes work for Starbucks, Expedia, National MS Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and The Who. To say Jeff's design enthusiasm is contagious would be an understatement. As a Creative Manager at Starbucks, Typography instructor at SVC and a former President of AIGA Seattle he’s kept himself immersed in the design community here in Seattle and has shared his love of design, concept, and typography with anyone who will listen, from individuals to large groups.

Arrive at Starbucks at 11:45am for a catered lunch and beverage. Listen to insanely bright design professionals and meet a few new folks in the process. Once registered, we'll send a follow up email with lunch menu options, including vegetarian and health-conscious options. AIGA members must show their membership card at check-in.
