It All Runs on Volunteers... and Sponsors /

As we reflect on all the things we’ve accomplished this year, we come back to two fundamental elements needed for everything we do:
First, the energy of our volunteers. Every event or initiative this year was done by volunteers. The board is an all-volunteer board. Volunteers are the engine that runs AIGA Seattle.
Second, the incredible support we receive from our sponsors. A special thanks to this year’s sustaining sponsors: Bear Group, The Creative Group, Emerald City Graphics, Filter, Hemlock, Insurance Research Associates, and Iris Professional Services.
A big “thank you” also to all of our event sponsors and companies/individuals who provided in-kind support to make our events function smoothly and be memorable for everyone who attended.
We’d also like to thank one of our most enduring partners: the School of Visual Concepts, which has generously supported us with their facilities for events and meeting spaces, shared their human resources, and promoted our events.
As proud as we are of the chapter’s accomplishments this year, we recognize that this is truly a team effort. In that spirit we welcome you to join us and strengthen your ties to the Seattle design community.
Become a member. This is the most tangible way to support AIGA’s work to strengthen our entire profession. There are special offers for students and for recent graduates an associate-level membership available for four years after graduation.
Join the Board of Directors. The application process begins in the spring and election to the board gives you a stake in strengthening the design community and creating a personal legacy.
Volunteer in other ways. We can use all levels of commitment, from a few hours to a year or more. Sign up here.
Just show up! Almost all of our events are open to nonmembers. We have plenty more planned for next year.
We also invite your comments and suggestions. How can we better serve our members? What would you like to see in the coming year and beyond? And what would you like to do to make that happen?
Happy Holidays! We’ll see you in the New Year!
