Letterpress Lounge / Amy Redmond

Sidle on in and prepare to whet your creative whistle with the ancient art of letterpress printing. We'll start you off with a pull from the platen press, then turn you loose to "mix your own" using wood type and imagery from the School of Visual Concepts' letterpress shop. Garnish your design with an infusion of ink colors, and serve! B.Y.O.T: Bring Your Own T-shirt if you want to make a wearable print.

About Amy Redmond

Amy Redmond is a graphic designer and letterpress printer who has been mixing up letterpress concoctions since 1998. Her main letterpress hangout is at Seattle's School of Visual Concepts (where she teaches), though her frequent "press crawls" take her to shops as far away as Port Townsend. While she would never, ever eat the yellow ink, she has been known to sneak a dip of the magenta when no one is looking.
