Allison Gegan
Writing Director
This will be Allison's second term on the AIGA Seattle Board of Directors. She has participated as a volunteer for Activ8 New Media Conference, Give Your Heart to Art Holiday Shindig, Business Basics Breakfasts and the Cutting Edge Paper Dress Fashion Show. Allison also serves on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and Publicity & Outreach Committee Chair for Washington Lawyers for the Arts, a group dedicated to bringing affordable top-notch legal services to visual and performing artists throughout Washington state.
Allison has been a freelance web and print designer for four years, for clients including Cole & Weber/Red Cell, Microsoft, National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and Pratt Fine Arts Center among others. Before becoming a designer, Allison worked in arts administration and gained writing experience as an Editorial Intern at Seattle and Pacific Northwest magazines, and contributing freelance writer for Microsoft's Seattlesidewalk.com. In these positions, she wrote, edited and researched original material for both Internet and print.
Allison received a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration from Seattle Central Community College, and earned a B.S. with Honors and Academic Distinction in Physical Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
